Psalms 24: 3-5
- Those who are rightous are worhty of entering into the Lord's house. The temple. To go on a mission to teach the gospel you need to be worthy and living rightously. And to go to the temple you will recieve greater blessings and like the manuel says, recieve more power.
- "that thy servants may go forth from this house armed with thy powers." I believe with no doubt that the temple will leave you armed with His powers. This is why it is important to go to the temple, especially before a mission. Arm yourselves with His powers, be his army, go and teach.
Alma 36: 17
- True faith in Jesus Christ leads us to repent of our sins
- Alma remembered His Savior Jesus Christ who atoned for his sins. This helped Alma come to true repentance.
- As soon as he called upon Jesus he remembered his sins no more.
- We need to be someone that the Lord can trust. We need to be worthy and prepared so that we can be ready in the mission feild.
- Like Pres. Tanner said, " Prospective missionaries should realize that the Lord wants somebody in whom he can place every confidence, one who is clean and worthy in every way to represent him in the mission field." I can't say it any better than that. Let's be repent and be clean that we may be worthy representatives of Christ.
